Who We Are
A Democratic IT and Web Coop
We are a collectively run IT cooperative — a worker-owned enterprise. This means we challenge traditional forms of ownership and hierarchy in business and counter them with a grassroots democratic model. The cooperative belongs to everyone who works here, and important decisions are made together.
Instead of economic competition, we rely on cooperation — with our clients as well as with other IT cooperatives and worker-owned enterprises. We are aware that this also means bumping up against the limits of the existing system.
We are currently a cooperative member of SMartDe eG - Genossenschaft für Selbständige. This means: contracts run through Smart, who handle contract management and finances for us and other coop members. However, the planning and implementation of your projects remains entirely in our hands.

Our Mission
Free Software for the Common Good
Our members have been active for years in self-organized groups and movements in Stuttgart and the surrounding area. CoQuest grew out of these experiences - to strengthen organizations, networks, and groups in their digital collaboration.
We see the social and ecological crises that are intensifying due to the capitalist drive for growth. CoQuest is our attempt to live an alternative in a small way: democratic instead of authoritarian, cooperative instead of competition-driven.
We welcome clients and partners who share our values and work with us towards a more just, solidary, and sustainable world. We are especially keen to cooperate with worker-owned enterprises, cooperatives, non-profit associations, and initiatives of the community supported economy, as well as works councils and trade unions. Together we want to realize projects in culture, education, social welfare, and ecology.
